Directions to Friars Court (from M40):

1. Leave the M40 at junction 8 and head towards Oxford on the A40.
2. Go straight over at the Thornhill Park and Ride traffic light controlled crossroads. Get into the right-hand lane because you'll be taking the 3rd exit at the Headington roundabout (McDonalds on your left) signed A40, Cheltenham and Hospitals.
3. You are now on the Oxford Ring Road (North). You'll see signs for the John Radcliffe Hospital on your left. At the next roundabout (Cutteslowe Roundabout) go straight over. A few hundred yards later you'll reach the Wolvercote Roundabout. Take the third exit with the BP garage and BMW showroom on the RIGHT.
4. Continue straight along the A40, going straight over traffic lights at Cassington and straight over any roundabouts. Eventually you'll be on the dual carriageway to Witney (approx. 8 miles past Oxford).
5. On the dual carriageway, go past signs for Witney East & a parking lay-by. Take the next exit (approx 2 miles from the start of the dual carriageway) - signposted Faringdon A4095.
6. At the roundabout at the bottom of the slip road, take the third exit - signed Abingdon A415 (amongst other things). Take the next right just a few hundred yards down the road, signed for Curbridge.
7. Turn left at the "T" junction. You are now on the A4095 to Faringdon. Go past the Lord Kitchener pub on left, then the Grey Gables Skoda garage on the right. Then go up a hill & round a left hand bend over a railway bridge. Then through the village of Lew (two houses and a tree) and round few more bends.
8. Down a hill to a T-junction. Turn left - signed Bampton and Faringdon A4095 (right to Brize Norton).
9. Drive into Bampton (approx 2 miles). Turn right at the roundabout signposted Clanfield and Faringdon A4095 by the Romany Inn and a little parade of shops.
10. Follow the road out of Bampton, pass signs on left for Wield and right for Black Bourton. Clanfield is approx 2 miles. At the crossroads, by the Clanfield Tavern Pub, turn left (still signed Faringdon A4095).
11. Drive out of the village (approx ½ mile), go past speed de-regulation signs and slow down. There is a football field on your right. The entrance to Friars Court is 100 yards on the left marked by white sleepers. If you reach a right turn for Lechlade and Kelmscott, you've over-shot and need to turn round.
12. Follow the driveway and all signs to the House (i.e. don't turn off into the yard: this is the farm, not the wedding venue!) Go over the cattle grid and follow signs to the car park.
