Teaching

As well as playing the double bass and bass guitar, Mat also teaches these instruments on a one-to-one basis. He is fully qualified, with an LRAM teaching diploma from the Royal Academy of Music. He teaches from home in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Mat has years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, from total beginners to those wishing to refresh their memory or expand their knowledge.

Please note that, as Mat is taking over the bass chair on the UK production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, lessons will continue to take place on Sundays, except by special arrangement. Mat would like to extend his apologies to all students and potential students for any inconvenience this may cause, but would like to assure everyone that he will do his very best to minimise the disruption to students' progress.

Current Musicians' Union rates can be checked here.

• £12.10 per half hour
• £18.15 per 3/4 hour
• £24.20 per hour

Lessons are available in 1/2-hour, 3/4-hour or 1-hour slots, and are charged at the current Musicians' Union rates. Lessons are held in Bicester unless by special arrangement.
